- Multi-split air conditioning
Several rooms. One outdoor unit. Multi-split air conditioning installation in Hastings, East Sussex & Sussex
Samsung multi-split systems run up to five rooms from a single outdoor unit: fewer units on the wall, individual control in every room, cooling and heating.
Why choose multi-split
- One outdoor unit for two to five rooms: tidier outside and fewer wall penetrations
- Each room has its own controller and temperature
- Mix wall, cassette and concealed ducted indoor units
- Efficient cooling in summer and heating in winter
Typical multi-split installs
Bedrooms plus a home office, a living room and kitchen-diner, or a small office with meeting rooms. For larger buildings with many rooms, Samsung DVM S VRF systems take over.
Designed and commissioned properly
Multi-split systems depend on correct sizing, pipe lengths and refrigerant charge. We calculate each room’s load, plan pipe routes, pressure test, evacuate and commission the whole system, then hand over with documentation and a 7-year warranty on Samsung units.

Multi-split FAQs
FAQWhat is a multi-split system?
A multi-split system uses one outdoor unit to run two or more indoor units in different rooms, each with its own temperature control.
How many rooms can one outdoor unit serve?
Typically two to five indoor units, depending on the outdoor unit size and the rooms’ heat loads. Bigger buildings move to VRF.
Multi-split or separate single splits?
Multi-split means fewer outdoor units on the wall, which is tidier and often easier for planning. Separate splits give full independence if one unit fails. We’ll advise on what suits the property.
Can I mix different indoor unit types?
Yes. Wall units, ceiling cassettes and concealed ducted units can usually run from the same outdoor unit.
